"Prior to meeting Dr. Bassett, I had had seven surgeries on my back and two more on my neck. I had a problem walking and turning my neck. I would often fall down and was eventually wheelchair bound. "My L4-5 vertebrae were out of line approximately 1/4 inch and were pressing on a nerve. This caused severe pain on the left side of my lower back, going down my left leg causing weakness in my left leg. I walked with a limp. I had a lumbar fusion of the L4-5 vertebrae. The surgery was 100% successful. After some physical therapy to strengthen the weakened muscles, I can do anything I want to do, and I have absolutely no pain. Dr. Bassett is a very skilled surgeon. "I had excruciating pain in the lower back and down the lateral side of the leg and foot. I could not raise my leg or keep my knee straight without pain. I had a discectomy to repair a herniated disc. For a 78-year old, I did wonderfully after the surgery! I had some pain during the first week after surgery but it was nothing compared to the pain before the surgery. I now have no pain in my back, leg, or foot. Its only been one month since my surgery but I'm fishing and have already made a trip to the mountains. "The problem I was having prior to surgery was severe back and leg pain. I was unable to do my job fully which is a physical therapy tech. Sitting, standing, or even lying down hurt. I was never happy because of the pain. I had a two level posterior lumbar fusion L4-5 to L5-S1. The outcome was great! I wasn't in surgery as long as I expected plus I have no more pain in my back or legs. I am still a little tender but it has been only 6 weeks. The surgery has really helped a lot. I am able to sleep at night. I would recommend, and have recommended, Dr. Bassett to others. He is sincere in his care towards me. He takes the time to answer any questions I or my husband have without making us feel that it is a foolish question. We are very pleased with him and his staff. "I had lower back pain and pain in my left hip and left leg. I had very limited mobility and was only able to walk 50 to 60 yards at a time before having to sit down. Dr Bassett removed scar tissue and spinal hardware from a previous surgery and fused two more vertebrae. Almost complete mobility has returned. I am still weak from 5 years of pain and lack of use of my back and legs but with time and exercise, everything is coming along great! Dr Bassett was very efficient, timely, and nice. I can't say enough good things about him. I refer to him as "Saint Timothy". Twelve days after surgery I woke up pain free for the first time in six years! "I had a pinched nerve on the left side in the C5-C6 area. I had an occipital headache for over one year. I had several nerve blocks performed by other doctors that helped very little. I was referred to Dr. Bassett, visited with him, and was very impressed with him. He decided to perform an anterior cervical fusion C5-C6. The outcome of my surgery was awesome!
